Splendid pair of five-light candelabras, with white marble bases and gilded bronze bodies depicting vases, elegantly supporting the lights. The bases, embellished with gilded bronze friezes featuring animal motifs, add further elegance to the candelabras, bringing richness, warmth, and color to the surrounding environment. The entire casting is finely gilded with mercury amalgam, playing on the contrast between matte and glossy parts; of French Empire style manufacture, they are objects of great class and refinement, capable of enriching any environment with their sophisticated style. The Empire style, which flourished between 1804 and 1815, represents the last phase of Neoclassicism and is inextricably linked to the rise to power of Napoleon Bonaparte. Born in France to celebrate the emperor's greatness and his conquests, it quickly spread throughout Europe, profoundly influencing architecture, furniture, decorative arts, and visual arts. Measurements: 55 cm in height and 24 cm in width between arms; octagonal white marble bases 8 cm in height and 14 cm in width.
