Period: First half of the 18th century
Price: € 24.000
Refined Emilian Louis XV console, measuring 84 x 135 x 65 cm, with delicate and intense carving; a splendid Emilian console, with sinuous shapes and a truly dynamic movement, made of walnut from the first half of the 18th century. The console, a graceful piece of furniture for halls, living rooms, and lounges, often designed together with other furnishings such as chairs, sofas, armchairs, and mirrors, takes on countless forms, all linked to the unstable lightness of its serpentine line, which declines the flexible arching of the cabriole supports, capriciously outlining the tops, whether in wood, marble, or even painted. An important piece of furniture both for the material used and its shape; thanks to this, it can be easily placed in any part of the house, provided there is space for a minimum of light, in fact, the gilding and marble of this piece are able to bring vivacity and dynamism to the room itself and also to other parts of the furniture. The paintings and works of art published here are my exclusive property and, as a result, are always available to be viewed in person, by appointment, at my exhibition locations in Sanremo and Brescia. The work, like all our items, is sold with a FIMA photographic certificate of authenticity and lawful origin; this document identifies the object, adding value to the item. We personally handle and organize the packaging and shipping of works of art with insurance worldwide. Dr. Riccardo Moneghini Art Historian
