Period: Second half of the 19th century
SOLD Oil on canvas painting, measuring 85 x 65 cm without frame and 88 x 70 cm with frame, depicting a wonderful vase of flowers of French origin from the second half of the 19th century. The painting in question exhibits a luminous impetus of brilliant skill to which we add a truly meticulous precision in portraying the flowers, the wonderful ornate and gilded vase, and indeed many details such as the butterfly, the tank with fish, or the birds in the background on the right, also due to a breadth of texture and a perspicacity of definition that are all typical prerogatives of the great French painting that has a wonderful vein in the 19th century. The composition is very versatile and intelligently calibrated in colors, especially in those continuous contrasts between the very light and slightly darker parts, where the extraordinary multifaceted nature of the canvas is evident, appearing faster, more colorful, and more ethereal with the flowers superbly painted with a truly sublime coloristic force. The paintings and art objects published here are my exclusive property and, consequently, are always available to be viewed in person, by appointment, in my exhibition venues located in Sanremo and Brescia.
