SOLD Chest of drawers in solid walnut, poplar interior, from the imposing proportions of the 17th century. Dimensions are 96 x 142 x 60 cm. The strongly molded and rather protruding base rests on bracket feet. The front ones have two molded dice connected by two arches; in the center there are floral decorations thanks to the use of maple. The subdivision of the 4 large drawers is underlined by a protruding strip. Each drawer is squared by a rather prominent molding and divided into elongated panels that are quite protruding, creating an intense chiaroscuro effect. Each drawer has 2 knobs and in the center of the upper drawers the escutcheon is horizontal because that's how they were made back then so as not to ruin the inlay or the play of the woods. A frame with a rhythmic notched pattern supports the top with rounded edges. The smooth sides, without decoration, are enriched by a molded frame that underlines their outline.
