Period: Second half of the 18th century
Price: € 1.800
Sold Louis XVI bedside table inlaid in walnut made at the end of the 18th century. Despite its extreme simplicity, this piece of furniture owes its elegance not only to its beautiful proportions and slender truncated pyramid legs but also to the harmonious subdivision of the fields and the Maggiolini-style inlay. The inlay and threads create a subtle chiaroscuro interplay that gives sobriety and delicacy to the furniture. It is interesting to note the interweaving of different woods, which denotes the cabinetmaker's skill in harmonizing different woods in the construction of this refined bedside table. Measurements: 80 height, 60 width, 40 cm depth Elegant and delicate inlay that is repeatedly executed centrally and on the sides as well as on the upper part as only the great Lombard cabinetmakers were able to do The work, like all our objects, is sold with a photographic certificate of authenticity; this document identifies the object, adding value to the item.
